I know that the U-18 and U-20 take the 27c256 eprom, but what I am not sure about is the correct speed required or if they have to be CMOS or not--also the voltage varies on these chips as well--If someone can tell me this info then I can order some spare chips--Thanks: John T

Ok! Well, 2 factory chip labels later (  Tongue Out ), my complete uneducated guess is 100ns or faster....chips are labeled 27C256-1....the -1 leads me to believe the 100 ns or faster, as I've seen similiar ratings on other chips (i.e. -15, -12, -10).

p.s. And now let's just hope no one bitches about the "half peeled off and taped back on" labels on my Bally chips!  bust gut laughing

150or faster IE: 27c256-150, 27c256-120, 27c256-100 ect...Roslyn you can half peel back anything with no complaints...hahahahah ...Sorry had to !!!

150or faster IE: 27c256-150, 27c256-120, 27c256-100 ect...Roslyn you can half peel back anything with no complaints...hahahahah ...Sorry had to !!!
