My machine will payout coins for a while without counting down credits.  shows winner at 240, frozen credits at 199.

Then hopper stops paying out and I get "Call Attendant", "Hopper Empty", "Closure M".  Hopper is still full.  If I open and shut main door, the payout resumes and credits stay frozen at 199.

Any help or suggestions on how to further troubleshoot would be appreciated -- been through the entire menu and can't seem to figure out where to go next.

Thanks in advance!

i would say you have a coin jammed behind the knife on the hopper, empty out the hopper and see if you can find a coin behind the knife or a jam anywhere else.

If the optics or "lever" are not working, it will spit out coins, but will time out thinking the hopper is empty. And it won't count them.

Basically the coin must pass though the optics or push the lever up far enough to block them which is what counts the coins.

This is an S2000 machine. A S+ can't say "hopper empty" or "closure M" on it.

The issue is similar, though. The bottom line is that the machine isn't seeing coins exiting the hopper, so it is assuming that the hopper is empty.  Make sure that coins exiting the hopper are correctly passing through the coin-out optics.

Oops. Silly me for thinking it was an S+ since it was posted as an S+ machine in the thread title.   Duh!
