I recently got this s2000. Ive never owned a s2000. The machine is a 4 reel big times pay machine. I have owned and fixed s+ machines before. It wasnt working when I got it. The problem I am having is the machine does not play and is displaying the following: call attendant, closure m, and coin-in jam.  When I open the door I see call attendant, door open m, coin-in-jam. When i start the machine the first 3 reels spin and land where the reel is taped together. The fourth reel does not spin. The last reel is lit up but does not seem to have any tension.  Ive read many posts about this problem and have tried going through wires, connectors, reseating wires, inspecting and looking for burn marks... I've been scratching my head for awhile. I've found burnt lights on the reels. This was causing the reels to rub. I've fixed that issue by taking out the lamps. I have not found any loose wires. I did replace the I/o board in the machine. I did not have a door I/o but I inspected it and I did not see any obvious burn marks.

Does the machine have coin in on it, or is it only the BV?

On the coin comparator, there is a cable connected to it.  Try disconnecting that cable and jumpering the orange with brown stripe, orange with black stripe, and black wires together.  See if that removes the coin in error.  Don't cut the wires though as you will still need them to keep coin in.  I work on s2000 all the time, so we should be able to figure it out for you.

Doesn't really matter on those, but couldn't hurt to turn it off

Not sure if im doing this right... I see a orange and purple wire, a solid orange wire, a solid red and a red with  black wire that connects directly to the cc.  I jumped the two oranges with the two reds.
When I jumpered the wires I turned on the machine without the cc connected. It made a few weird sounds and kept trying to turn on but would not turn on. I turned the machine off then tried turning it on again with the cc connected without the jumpers.  The cc light is on now but coin in problem is still looming.

Ok.  Trace the wires back to the connector on the wiring harness below the buttons.  There should be the colors listed.  Maybe someone used different colors.  On the connector below the buttons disconnect there and see if you see the colors I mentioned.

Is one on the very end of the connector?  If so jumper the oranges to that one.  If not I will study mine when I get home in a few hours and verify the exact wire positions for the black one

One black/red one goes to the cc. The other goes to the piece right below the cc. The other is unused.

Ok, so it is not seeing the bypass we are doing.  Pm me your e-mail.  When I get home I will look at the jumpers I have made and send you photos and more info to make sure we are jumpering what we should.  Also verify no coins are stuck in the track of the coin comparator by dropping a coin through it and it should come out the bottom.
