Forgive me if I sound a little funny explaining this.  I have a IGT S2000 slot machine. The slot glass shows $1.00 denomination, but the actual machine denomination is .25 cents per credit. I want to change the machine to $1.00 per credit as shown on the glass. Chip Key 45? Am I headed in the right direction to change the denomination to $1.00? I already went into the machines menu and there was no option for $1.00...just .25 cents.
This will be a first for me to do something like this. Anyone out there have an easy explaination or instructions on how to apply or use this Key Chip 45? Step by step instructions? Sorry of I am being redundant, but I couldnt find anything regarding this Chip Key.
Thanks in advance!

Eric

Key45 if you have SG00598 gme1 & gme2 chips, otherwise key017 or key031. I will email you some instructions when I get home.

Sorry took so long to get back, but had family outing to go to. Finally pulled the MPU and saw what appears to be SB100010. There is what appears to be a "security tape?" over the chips so its a little difficult to know if this is accurate. I also see SG000312 1 of 2 and 2 of 2. I hope these numbers are correct. Also, just in case....Version Chip VSO (1GX1). Hope that is right too, but this is what it appears to be. Thanks in advance again! IM LEARNING !

The Security tape is from the gaming Board or Commision agents when that themes was checked by them shortly after that theme or machine was installled in a casino or audit by them since installation.
unless you want to make the information unreadable leave the tape alone

SG000312 would use key 31 per trhe Program Summary Report (PSR) I have used a key 17 with no issues, did not have a key 31 back then

IF I was you I would get set of SG000363 or SG000598 Game Chips (GME 1 & 2) unless your theme wont work with SG 363 or 598.

I think your version chip is a VS011GX1 closest match to the VS chips in the PSR, very common Version chip in the USA
I am using that same VS chip in my S2000.
11GX1 is a multiple denominational version chip - must have the multiple denomination touch pad behind the glass  or a "Select Credit Value" button on the button deck to use mutple denominations.

I included the SG 312 PSR in this post to help you out.

I agree, the 312's should be using a key31 or 17. The SG312 had some reel tilt issues and most users replaced them with the generic and more dependable SG363's. The SB100010 is for Triple Stars or Triple Lucky Sevens game, hope that matches what glass kit you have. Check your mail you should have some other instructions. I was going to send the PSR for the 312 but Foster beat me to it... Silly Me!

If the key45 works, here is what you do step by step:

Zero all credits on machine, you can have no credit when doing this or it will not take!
turn off machine
open door and remove mpu
locate and remove the SB100010 chip while observing the direction of the notch on the chip
install key45 in that socket with the notch in the correct location, if you install backwards you blow the chip!
replace MPU and turn on machine leaving the door open
observe the led's on the mpu.
when you see 2 amber lights, turn off machine
pull mpu
remove key chip
replace SB100010 carefull checking notch and pin for proper insertion not bending them
replace mpu
turn on machine leaving the door open
once it boots up you should see "Key Menu" in display
change to Key I menu 7.1
goto 7.1.1 Denomination (change to $1.00) this is what a credit is worth
then 7.1.1.2 Coin Denomination(change to $1.00) this is what the coin put in is worth
then 7.1.1.3 Player Denomination (set to $1.00) this is what the game credit is worth and where you would specify multi denomination choices if used.
then back out of the menus or just close the door and you should be good to go.

Hope this helps wave
