I have a Big Bang piggy bankin slot with a strange issue. When you get the three blank (no symbols) on the payline it should add a coin to the bank. (it used to) know it locks the machine up for about 1-2 minuets. It will eventually go back to adding the coin. It locks the game up and you can't spin or add credits. Also since it has been happening the attract mode does some weird stuff like GAME OVER in big letters or a blank screen with a few small things on it. Also the pig's sound effects are gone.

Any ideas? I did a RAM clear just to see if it would help but no change.

Thanks for reading.

I first would try to remove and replug the cables going to the top box board at each end, sounds like the communications with the top box board are being impaired. Next make sure the top box chips are seated well.

Good luck,

Thanks for The help! I got it going again. I only unplugged and plugged in both sides of the top box cables. It started working right away! I will dig deeper to find the permanent fix. Thanks for sending me in the right direction.

Thanks for keeping us posted Jim, it's Great to hear it's working again,
electrical contact cleaner on the connectors would do the job, by removing and replugging them it sort of scrapes the contact area allowing for better contact.

Thanks,
Wayne
