plunger buddies DEAD BOO HOO

« on: October 18, 2012, 10:48:41 PM »

I just had a problem with a s2000 3 reel machine .When it was turned on the machine made a pop pop pop pop pop pop sound and the mpu lights would all flash on and off as it popped on and off . I removed the reels and it still did it . I swapped  out the mpu tray and power supply and still pop pop pop . I changed and reseated the io cards and no luck . I dropped the belly door and unplugged the flouresent Ballest and tried it again . It went pop and a mushroom cloud of smoke came out from the left hand side of the machine it was the reel glass ballest that was causing the problem . In unplugged  it and every thing worked fine . I just need to replace the ballest .   Just posting this for others as this is the first time this has happened to me . P.B.
