The hold switches on my IGT PE+ are sticking and in need of cleaning. I removed one of them tonight but couldn't figure out out to remove the while plastic assembly that has the lamp in it that is attached to the top black housing. Is there anyway to separate the two?

If you have the button assembly in your hand, look at the bottom of it (the part that sticks into the machine) -- you'll see two white tabs sticking through the bottom -- those need to be (gently) squeezed together which then allows the white piece to pull out of the outer black tube part of the button assembly.  You may need to manipulate the spring that is inside there to give the white tabs enough room to squeeze into the black tube.

so I take it that in this break down view that the white plastic assembly that holds the lamp in it can't be removed from the square black housing around it?

Correct but as time goes by the get brittle can be done though just don't get impatient like I did

the entire switch will come apart you might have to carefully remove the clear cap on the top of the button for the rest to come apart number #7 in the above pic it will take a little prying to get it out but again will break if you are not carefull

Lyzard

I found out the hard way had to order new buttons !!!!

riverratmike  If it's a original switch, grab a hand full of white plastic bulb and micro switch holder, wiggle it from side to side at the same time pulling down. IT will come apart. And sometimes they break.

After market can be a lot of different switches, most times to get them apart, turn the bulb holder CW about 20 degrees

If all it's doing is sticking, I pop off the clear lens using my pocket knife clean around the lens and reinstall, does wonders. I guess I should explane the knife part. with the cutting edge of the knife blade cut into one of the corners of the lens in a upperward motion, sometimes after the one side comes up you have to do one of the other corners.
