First of all hi everyone, there sure are a ton of very slot machine educated people on this site.  This is great.  I should be receiving my first IGT machine shortly.  It's an S2000 Double 3X 4X 5X Roundtop. I have a couple of newbie questions on toppers.  Are they on and operating all the time?  If so, is there a way to switch it off so that just the candle will work if I want a visual change with the machine?  Second question; is there a place where I can get a topper, or at least an insert for this machine, or even a custom made one with my own design?  Oh, I almost forgot to ask, where to get a new, used, or refurbished slot chair/stool?  I've heard that a Gary Platt is a fine product but what do I know, I'm new at this. I hope this is the right forum to post these questions.  If not, maybe someone can direct me to the right one.

Thanks in advance for the responses I hopefully will get.

The topper powers on and off with the machine.  I suppose you could add a switch, maybe on the rear of your machine cabinet to switch off the topper power.  The candle power runs seperately, so yes, the candle could be lit while the topper is off.

Not sure on the best chair, I'm sure someone else will chime in.  If your machine is lacking a topper, take a look on Ebay, there is always a few there.  Just be sure you get a topper to fit a round top, not a flat top.

mvco, Thanks for the help.  The switch is a great idea. I don't really want to keep turning  off the machine just for the topper's sake.

Hello,

If you can find a local person selling slot machines you could probably get what you need there. My favorite seller is in Ohio.
I found a great chair/bar stool at a church sale, it has arm rests and nice back, it is a swivel seat.  I Think it's from a bar in the 60s but it's sweet!

Take care,

I will chime in with another question: are toppers available for most IGT S2000 games?  Are they limited to a particular type like only five reel games or only 16 inch style machines?

Toppers are available for MOST S2000 game themes. The toppers themselves are not dependent on cabinet type (9", 16", RT), but the BASE of the toppers are! Naturally, you cannot make a RoundTop base fit on a flat cabinet, and vice versa.
