S2000 LED Bulbs

Hey All,

Okay, I did a search for S2000 LED and came up with alot of information, kind of all over the place!

I think it's pretty much agreed that replacing the Reel lights with LED's is not a good idea as it looks like a spot light.

So I guess I'm just going to stick with the factory Xenon lamps.  However, I do want to replace the florecent Lamps and the button lights with LED's.

I just found this LED florecent replacement bulb: http://www.americangaminginc.com/products/products.asp?ItemId=102041 - Says "REPLACES FLUORESCENT BULB"  So I assume this LED bulb actually plugs directly into the Fluorescent bulb socket?  Eliminating any need to remove/replace any of the fluorescent components.

The price doesn't seem that bad at $30.40.

I found these LED's to replace the button bulbs: http://www.mcmelectronics.com/product/25-3325  -  I assume this bulb works in all the deck buttons?  (It says "1" button")

Thoughts?

Okay, but those wont plug into my fluorcent ballast, those probably require some other components to work right?

No , you bypass the ballast. they plug right in to the plug that goes into your ballast. They are made to fit an S2000.

Yeah I know they are made for the S2000, but arnt they made for an s2000 that came with factory LED's?

You said you bypass the ballast, but then you said they plug into the ballast...
 
So is there anything else needed to make those work?

They match right up to the plug from the machine that supplies power to the ballast. You can remove the ballast completely afterword. Nice lamps, I use them also

Remove the florescent lamp.
Take it to your backyard, place it in a metal bucket, and smash it completely.
Go back to your machine.
Unplug the ballast from the 24vdc connector, and remove the ballast.
Place the ballast in the bucket with the remains of the lamp.
Pour a small amount of diesel in the bucket and light it on fire.
Sit back and watch the pretty colors.
Go back to your machine and plug the LED array into the 24vdc connector that the ballast was plugged into.
Install the LED array where the lamp came from.
Reinstall all the glass.
Go to the backyard and wait for the fire to go out.
Dump the debris into your neighbors yard.
Go back to your machine, turn it on, and enjoy your new LED lights!!
