Here's a quick question  (Problem) that i never had before and have no clue on what too do.... or look for....

Turn machine on with no B/V in goes through the system check then able to play machine with quarters.

Then turn machine off put B/V back in turn machine on goes through system check then says on front panel "NO DISP" and stays like that un-able to play game.

Any ideas anyone?!?!?

Thanks

Open door, push test button, close door and see if it resets. Maybe turn game off and on. Might just be confused from screwing around with the BV. It should have come up with a BV error while the BV was out though. Also, check plugs on door for coincidental loose plug issue

So it'll work again if you take the BV back out?

Maybe put BV back in, go to menu 4 and try a netplex config

I have the exact same problem on a machine that I picked up.  It's really weird ... BV in; I get "No Disp" and machine won't work... take BV out and machinwe works perfectly..... I did the netplex configuration and no difference.  I checked the wires behind the BV; and tried a known-working BV from another machine...  I haven't had much time lately to mess with the machine; but I'm baffled......   Bill

Problem solved.

The connection were the B/V plugs into when you slide it in at the back one of the pins was bent causing only half the connection too go in.

Thanks everyone  applause and maybe this will also help you out.

A short in the bv be it internal or extenal on the side wiring will cause simular issues as well. Watch out and play close attention to the bv's as they can throw some crazy codes that will have your head spinning and spend un-needed $.   Excellent post on your findings (esp for others).  --B and K+
