I am not sure if this has already been mentioned/posted so I am going to just pass on some info for others that may not be aware of this as I was not aware till tonight.
I found that my machines the lighting in the bowl was dark. I play my machines in the dark room except for the light produced from the machine. I found while playing the bright lights from the machine makes it hard to see the coins in the bowl.

There is 2 lights to illuminate the bowl. Open your machine and at the bottom of the door on the left and right sides there is a light fixture mounted to a plate. Remove the screws and you will find the bulbs and plexiglas. I found all my machines the lights were burned out and the small piece of white milk colored plexiglass is very dirty.

The bulbs are a #63, kind of a large bulb.   6.3 - 7 volt single contact.

If your bulbs are working they are most likely dirty. Clean or replace the bulbs and wash the plexiglass with some liquid hand soap.

You could also at this point change the color of the bowl lighting color if you desire a special effect with some colored bulbs or different colored plexiglas or even change to LED bulbs!

Yeah my dates on my pics are wrong.

Here's some colored acrylic and brighter bulbs that give a machine an added touch.  I have optically clear amber acrylic that gives the bowl and coins a gold look. The clear red acrylic gives a bright red glow in the bowl. I am expierimenting with some green, blue and yellow currently. Different color choices to color cooridinate to some machine glass or favorite color. I will post pics later of the other colors.

The camera or the photographer is terrible, maybe both!!

I plan to have the colored acrylic and brighter bulbs available for anyone interested.

I think this can be done on Bally EM machines and V1000 video also.
