Hey all,

I just purchased some Brybelly Pachislo tokens (Double Cherry's).  I replaced the quarter in my comparitor with the token, put 2 tokens threw the machine with out a hitch.

Then I went to put in another coin and it stopped about 1/2 way in the slot.   I tried several others and they all stop 1/2 way in as well.

I put a quarter in, and it just goes right threw...

Any ideas?

Thanks,

-TheChad

I've had the same problem before and found it to be the "gate" on the back of the coin comparator is closing too quickly and catching the token.  Tokens are a hair larger in diameter than a quarter.  You need to bend gate out just a little bit, then retry.

What I don't understand is that I have about 10 of these tokens that go right threw with no problem, I also have a token from another manufacture that goes right threw..

The token from another manufacture is the exact same size as my tokens..

I generally remove the thumb screw weight from the swing gate at the entry of the cc because tokens tend to be lighter than quarters and get caught up there. Also, tokens from a different manufacturer won't and shouldn't be recognized by the cc

Yeah, it's not recognized.. But it goes threw the cc.

These tokens won't even go into the cc, they literally only go 1/2 way into the coin slot..

There's a swing gate at the entry slot at the top of the cc. Has a thumb screw/counter weight on one side of it and if the coin isn't heavy enough it won't drop through the gate and into the cc. I generally take the thumb screw/counterweight out for the lighter than a coin tokens

Your talking about this part?

I took that off, it doesn't make any difference...

I don't even think the coin is getting to the gate..

Is it not getting all the way through the coin head slot?  I use cherry tokens and since they are slightly larger than a quarter, I had to use a dremel and grind out a small portion of the coin head back plate.  Once I did that, they slipped through just fine.

That's the part I was refering to. Jason makes a good point, I've had to modify with a dremel tool twice

 Clap  Your exactly right!

I took the head slot off and the token wont go threw it.  It's not wide enough.   So I'm gonna break out the dremel.

It's deceiving because the slot looks plenty big enough form the outside, but it narrows down inside the slot!

Karma + for both of you!

Thanks!
