Hey All,

I've been reading threw the S2000 Manual and wanted to try out a few settings I read in the manual, but I can't figure out how to set them...

#1: 3.1.1 - Credit Option,  I would like to set the machine to "Player initianted Noncredit",  to do this the manual says "The credit option is the only option available when the ticket printer is enabled."   So I need to disable the ticket printer in order to be able to set this setting,  but I could not find anywhere in the menu to enable/disable the ticket printer?    Also I am curious if the BV will still read my tickets (I have the Bettor TITO Device) if I have the ticket printer disabled?

#2: 3.1.7.3 - Quick Coin, This option isn't even available on my menu. My menu goes 3.1.7.1, and doesn't have any additional sub menu's to scroll threw..  Maybe this has to do with the credit options?

Thanks!

Disable/Enable Printer is in the Key menu, 7.2 (I think that's it anyway).

Quick Coin saves the last bet for you and re-bets it for you when you press Spin Reels button, when betting other than max bet. So if you only want to bet 1 coin on a 3 coin machine, with Quick Coin enabled, you would press Play 1, Spin Reels, then after spin, just press Spin Reels again to spin. Eliminates the need to keep pressing Play 1 each time.

You're almost right Ros. Quick coin is a limited availability feature that dumps 10 coins in the tray on demand from the player. I had it on my Double Diamond game and haven't seen it since. Honestly can't say if it was the VS or SG chips that provided the option, but I suspect it was the unusual VS chip that game had. Enabling the repeat bet function in menu 3 gives the option you described

Clap Agreed!  That is what the manual says.   This is a double diamond machine, but apparently doesn't have the special chip?

Probably the case. All I remember is that along with that option I also had 15 denom options that could be programmed and used all at once versus the common 4 we get on the majority of machines. Shoulda wrote the number down, but if you do some digging, I posted the chip number with a question about why it had so many usable denom options here on the site a couple of years ago.

Oops, found it, helps if you remember it wasn't you who initiated the thread

After reading the thread again, it was 13 options, not 15

So does anyone know if the BV will still read the tickets/bills if the ticket printer is disabled?

Thanks!

BV and Printer are two seperate entities, it'll work fine without the printer, but on a non-credit setting your hopper will be very busy. If you don't have coin handling on the machine then what's the reason for wanting to use this feature?

Awesome!

Yeah, that's why I want to set the machine up so you can choose credit or non-credit.    When my kids play with it, I can have it pay out credits.  When I play, I will have it store credits.

Right now, I put in a $50 ticket, and cash it out.  I have the hopper setup to pay out up to $50.  Then they play with the tokens, but they don't really understand the stored credits when they win.  So I think it would be better to just have it pay out when they play.

I currently have a bunch of tickets printed out in various denominations, I will probably print out a bunch more before disabling the printer, then untill the tickets wear out and I need to print new ones, I wont need the ticket printer.  Having the ticket printer disabled will also stop the kids from printing a bunch of useless tickets.

Thanks,

So what happens if I have the Hopper limit set to $50, I have the machine in Credit mode, I have $75 in credits, the printer is disabled and I press "Cash Out"?

Thanks,

Okay, So I finally got a working Key Chip (Thanks Roslyn!)  I turned off the Ticket printer, however in 3.1.1 "Credit" is still the only option available!   I want to swith this to "Player initianted Noncredit" as stated above, but it won't let me.  I thought when I disabled the ticket printer, it would open up the option to set this, but it still only says "Credit"

Any help?

Thanks,

Hate to say this but the S2000 was designed for credit play
There is not an easy way to switch from credit play to hopper pay like you can on the S+ with the cash out button.
once you set the limits so all wins are from hopper except the larger ones (you would have to change them back for credit play)

Why would the machine have the option available in the manual, but not actually be available?

Because, as many have have learned....not everything written in the all-mighty Manual is not always the absolute, all-knowing, written in blood, god-forsaken truth!!!!! Sorry...but use the manual as a guide, not a bible...

Sorry, apparently talking to Buzz is wearing off on me...
