I ask because I helped someone out almost four years ago by replacing the batt in their s5500, now I have been contacted by the new owner of the slot for a code 81... My s+'s have been running strong for longer than that...Just curious..  Scratch Head

All depends on how long the machine sits with the power off. If the turn it off every night a year is pretty good for a 5500
