I have had an IGT S+ For years and besides the normal stuck bills, stuck coins, etc. it has been a great machine.
Recently had the hopper get stuck and took it apart re-adjusted the knife and straightened the knife shield and re-installed everything.

Problem is nothing happens when I put everything back together.  The bottom light is on and the top light is flashing but this condition is not listed in the error chart flashing lights?

Winner Paid shows 12 Coins (Last Win) No codes flashing and I checked all connections, removed the main board and cleaned all connectors but nothing happens when I close the door.  Normally the wheels would spin when I close the door but nothing happens.

Is there an easy way to test the door optics? Or anything else you can think I check? Kids are driving me crazy to get the machine going again but without an error code I really don't know where to start?

Code 12 is dead battery.  Replace battery on CPU board.

I feel kind of stupid now... Did not even think the 12 was an error code.  Guess I will have to try to find someone that sells them.  Probably wont be able to find one of these local.  Thanks

Check one of the vendors on the home page here. Most any one of them will have a battery for you. Or if youre not familiar with a solder iron, I have heard people going to Batteries Plus, if you have a local one.

Soldering is no problem.  Found a seller on eBay less than 100 miles from me and he is mailing it out in the morning so I will have it one or two days for $12 shipped.  Cant wait to get this unit going again.   Next project will be the bill validator as it has been getting money stuck.  1 in around 20 times the bill gets stick in the validator and I have to take it apart to get the bill back out.
