I have a Atronic Cashline machine Zodiac Magic and I think it will run fine if I can clear the ram.  What I was wondering is if anyone has or knows where I can find the CLEAR-EPROM chip and the Config EPROM chip for this machine?  Any help will be much appreciated.

dongle and correct software on your laptop with correct DB-9 cable are going to be needed first!  i can't help with them but you could post up in the classifieds for everything! g/l

Is this the first time you powered the machine up?  or did the machine work fine before this happened.

It is the first time I powered up the machine.  I have yet to see it work but like I saw I think it would run if I can clear that COMM ERROR.

Well, I suspect it was set up to communicate with the Casino server so until you clear the memory and set the machine back up you are stuck.

So to clear the memory I just need a CLEAR-EPROM chip?  Do I need anything else and do you know where I could find one?

I think you may need the infamous dongle...you can clear it with a Clear chip without the dongle, but you will need to perform the set-up afterwards, which you cannot do without the dongle...

Contact Blueridge (vendor on here), he had the dongles a few months ago.

not sure if u tryed this already.. when the machine is powered up and all doors read close.. try just turning your reset key to show the diagnostic menu and then just turn key back to exit the menu ... if that doesn't clear your error... try just a soft ram clear... by turning game off.. then when powering back up hold the (red) reset button till u hear a loud ding sound come from the machine... then try what i said the 1st time again...

Not too sure about the Cashline, but the Emotion does not need a dongle to set the machine up unless it is a progressive game.  The Emotion uses a set of 3 chips for clearing the machine.  1 is for the game board and the other 2 are for the Comm board.  Many games don't use a comm board so all that is needed is the single clear chip for the game board.  I think Jim at Blueridge may have what yo need to clear the machine and set it up.

Hello

The commboard clear eproms are used in some cashline games whit n68k comboard if do you use accounting system or progresivve do you need or you can disable the commboard, after a clear, if do you want to keep settings do you need a ram clear whit checksum 56f0, whit this after the clear the machine ask to you if you agree whit settings if not you can start a new configuration if you don`t need commboard in the option commboard required set to "no" and don`t change the other options, maye this helps.

Best Regards

Hello again, I am still having issues.  I tried a Clear Ram and I think I have the wrong chip.  I am now getting error - CONFIG CRC ERROR and I know I should be getting a RAM ERROR message.

My question is does anyone know what CLEAR RAM chip goes to this machine?

Atronic Zodiac Magic
Serial  # 11021201
Model # TASTV1CL64P
Date of Mfg is 05-03

Or is there a way to find out what chip number goes to this machine?

Thanks
