I have a Double Diamond slot $0.25 machine, after 7 years of trying, my grandmother walked up to it and hit the jackpot... 3 Doubles, 2400 coins.
That was nearly a week ago and I can not get the machine to reset. I have a key and have tried everything that I have read...
Currently, when I turn it on, it goes thru the normal "power up" the reels spin stopping on triple 2X the ding, ding, ding starts shows 2400 coin jackpot and 0 coin pay out and 3 coins played. She was dropping coins so there were no credits on the machine.
The machine appears to pay out up to $1200 so this $600 jackpot should pay out (with a couple hopper refills) I have tried cashing out, nothing happens.
I have tried to do what I think a hand payout would be, open & close front, turn reset key (only once)... nothing

Please help!

I am not a tech heavy guy but can follow directions and am not scared to try....

You shouldn't need to open and close the door at all for a jackpot reset, should just be a matter of turning the key once. Are you sure the reset lock works?

I do not know if it works, I've never had to use it... I have read that turning the key more then once will put the machine is a diagnostic mode... I have turned it several times for different lengths of time 1-10 seconds while trying to reset but notice no differance.
Thanks for the quick reply...

If you're not sure you can test it by putting the leads of a multimeter to each tab on the switch and turn the key to see if it shows the short on the meter

Turning the key once without the jackpot will force the Accounting menu to come up.  Do you ever get the Accoutning menu up after turning the key, if you do the switch is good.   Sounds like you have no response to the key, so sure sounds like a dead switch or a wire fell off, check connectors/wires...

Nothing happens when key is turned, going to check it with meter and jumper it in the morning.
