I've been in the EM pinball hobby for about 15 years and recently picked up my first slot machine since I thought it was an OK deal.  I got a pin and a slot off the guy.  Not knowing much about slots, I was only interested in the kind of slot machine that looked like it came from a casino.  I had no idea what I was buying but the price seemed right.  It turned out to be a Sigma-32 and I was able to get it working with the help from some people on this site.  That, of course, boosted my confidence enough that I decided to look for another broken slot machine.  I found one on craigslist not too far from home and the price seemed reasonable.  It was an IGT S machine that looked in good shape.  Through this site, I was also able to get that working and now I'm afraid that the slot bug might have gotten me like the pinball bug did many, many years ago.  Like a junkie, I'm constantly looking for my next broken slot machine to fix... but they seem hard to find.  I've been looking on craigslist, ebay, classifieds, etc.  with not much luck.  A lot of japanese machines seem to be out there but they just don't interest me .   Is this just the nature of the slot machine hobby???  Are broken, casino-type reel slots just hard to find??

Is there any cure for this slot 'bug' or should I just go with it??  Scratch Head

What you want to look for is for an unshopped slot.
There are a lot of guys on here that sell them. Not sure what part of Pa. you live in but you have Raz in Erie, Jim of Bettor Slots in Oh.
Steve in Va. just to name a few.
