I finally have some info to contribute back to this great site.

I found #194 LED bulbs at both PepBoys and AutoZone.  They work perfect in s2000 buttons.
They are $9.99/ for 2, but if you only have 1 or 2 machines and want it NOW its a good option.
They have various colors, I got white for most, but put a 'multi color' in the bet1.  It slowly fades between colors... Neat Smiley

So all of the S2000 buttons large and small are safe with these LED's?  I'm still running stock bulbs in mine, but I would love to go LED for buttons...just don't want to fry anything.

Would these work for Game King / Igame 17" upright machines too?

Thanks,
Jason

My game king already had factory led's, but they are the really small bulbs... Not the 194's
Didn't see the super small ones at the car store.

This may be a stupid idea but has anyone looked at any of the many different types of LED Christmas lights that are on the market?  Just wondered if any of those little ones would work in the buttons.  You can get a whole strand of those for like 10 bucks.

I have some machines with LED and they look so much better and are so much cooler to the touch was thinking about swapping out the remainder of them.

Logical idea, but I think Xmas LED's are a lower voltage (maybe 3v?)... however I never measured them.
The 12v one's for the buttons and/or cars I assume have a resistor built in.
Please don't flame me if I am incorrect.

Thats probably true, probably is a diff voltage.  So is that 194 bulb the best one to get for all the buttons on a S-2000?  If so I may just break down and invest because I really do like the way they look and the reduced heat.
