Are you saying you want to turn your "Double Diamond" game into a "Double Diamond Haywire" game, or are you saying that you want to turn your "Double Diamond" game into a "Haywire" game?

The link shortrackskater posted explains how to get "haywire" action with an existing Double Diamond game.

The way I read your question is that you want to completely change the theme of your current machine to a Haywire theme.  In that case, yes, you just need to change out the glass, reel strips, and chips in the MPU board.  The following link explains how to change game kits in your S+ machine:

http://www.newlifegames.net/spset/gamechange.htm

The instructions there explain how to change out your current theme to a new game kit.

If you check out Ricks Faqs you will find a link to the IGT game bible.
From there you can choose the number of coins you want (1 Coin, 2 coin, 3 coin or 5 coin), within these sections you choose your theme (Haywire) and this will tell you what Game and Reel chips you need.
You can choose from various percentage paybacks.

So for parts you "need" Top Glass, Belly glass, Reel Strips, Game Chip, and Reel Chip.
There are other parts you may want which would include reel glass, insert stickers and button legends. See my notes below.

A couple of things to note:
-  Not all kits come in 5 coins, and are more rare.
- 3 coin is the most popular and as such may be more scarce than its 2coin cousin.
- You may also want different reel glass as I believe the DOuble Diamond is Blue and the Haywire kit is mostly black although it is not uncommon to find black reel glass being used with almost any theme.
- If you are changing from a 2 coin to 3 coin there are new stickys that you will want to pick up, and don't forget your button legends that may have a coin value on them.  Ie mine say Max Bet others say Bet 3.
- Unless the theme has an excessive paytable that extends to the belly,  some people leave in generic belly glass that says 0.25c or $1.00 or the name of their casino. Some guys have created their own themed glass for this
- On some themes the reel strips are different between 2coin and 3coin - so if you are peicing together your theme from a number of different sources double check the game bible before writing your cheque.

Most if not all  of the vendors on our home page are exceptional to deal with so call or email them looking for your "game kit".
Depending on who you deal with some won't sell "copied" roms so your %% options may be limitied.
Others won't ship glass.
Frank From Casino Glass in Vegas will likely have your glass in stock but he charges $60/sheet, he packs extremely well and as such expect shipping to be another $50 or $60 for your order.
I use this as my yard stick to what I am prepared to pay. If you want it now - you pay the need it now price.

One more thing to note.....

You didn't mention the size of your machine.
There are slant tops, round tops, 16" tops (about the size of the round top - just square) and the 9" (also known as a chop top).
You will need to specify this when buying glass.

Slants don't have belly glass and the round, 16 & 9 all have the same size belly.

Over all the round tops and 16" tops are the most popular as the glass is bigger and allows for superiour art work.
Think Album art vs Cassette tape art (am I dating myself here ??)

Good luck

On the home page there are several vendors.

Some may have some of the parts you require.

You can also try posting a "WTB" (Want To Buy) ad in the Classifieds section of the board:

http://newlifegames.net/nlg/index.php?board=114.0

State that you're looking to buy a complete Haywire kit (glass, strips, and chips) for your S+ machine.  Be sure to state whether you have a 9" top, 16" top, round top, or slant top ("sit down") machine.

eBay is another source of S+ game kits, but I'd try our Classifieds section or the vendors listed on the main NLG home page first.
