I have a 25 cent coin hopper for a s+ machine. The knife needs to be set and I don't know how. How can I tell  when it is set right. So the coins come out like they are suppose to.

Loosen the 2 screws that hold the knife in place.  Push knife down until it touched the shelve wheel (the smaller wheel on top).  Re-tighten the 2 screws.

if you're having a problem with coins getting between the knife and wheels then you need to make sure knife is laying tight against pin wheel (larger wheel with pins on it).  Also make sure knife has a sharp point on it where the coins first ride up on it.

Ron thanks
I'm assuming they do wear out. So if they get to wear their not sharp they need to be replaced.

They have to be sharp enough so the coins roll up on top of the knife and out (Double click my pic
to see the point).

Ron You have now, if I have a tip break off and don't have a spare knife I file the tip to a point.  Works until a new supply comes in.

I had to lightly file the back of my brand new knife to get it to lay tightly against the pin wheel. I also heated it and slightly bent it. This stopped coins from getting under it. Now they ride up and through the optics properly.

Good luck!
