 NLG Welcome

Will you post a couple of pictures of you machine inside and outside so we have a idea what were working on. A picture of the MPU ( the board that has the battery you replaced ) would be great.

If you have what is refered to as a slant top then I might have a suggestion for you I have one and everything looked good with not error's till i closed the hatch then got the coin in time out error

I discovered that the coin comparator wires were loose and or damaged

how i check this was i went into the test menu's and then moved the wires and saw them change setting from 0 to 1

replaced the wires all is well

Might not be the prob. but just a thought

yeap that is a slant top yeah they should read 1's

I just messed with the wires and got them to read 1's then tried to close the hatch i watched the numbers jump to zero's

I just had to reseat the wires (unplug and plug them back in making sure they seated properly then all was well

but i did have to clean the optics with a q-tip and some water (NO ALCOHOL OR SOLVENTS) and then make sure that the sensitivity screw on the comparator was turned down so that it was not so high and machine worked great

give an update let us know if you need anyother assistance

I have gotten all my info from this site

You have an IGT Player's Edge Plus (PE+) slant top.  I'm moving your post to the PE+ section.

It sounds like you've narrowed down the issue to some loose wires.  Let us know if you need more help.
