Just a warning to others about this guy...user name calculus314, from FL.

Guy bought a kit, fine...bought a 2nd kit couple days later, fine...receives first kit, says it doesn't fit his S+ (although he already asked if it was for an S+, and I answered "Yes."

BOTH kits he purchased are 16" top glass, when his game is a 9" top glass....Well, contrary to popular belief, a picture is NOT worth a thousand words. Apparently, the picture of the top glass (as it was shown, at almost TWICE the size of the belly glass) was NOT enough evidence to him that these kits would not work in his 9" top box machine, and he insists that they will not fit!!! Did he ask the size? No...the pictures showed the top glass was OBVIOUSLY larger than the belly...

He has opened a case on the first shipment, because, ya know, the "Item Was Not As Described" ( I'm sorry, is it not S+ glass??? Scratch Head Scratch Head), so he will more than likely receive a full refund from eBay (via my PayPal, of course. You're welcome, calculus314.) We will see if he is so "kind" on the 2nd kit he purchased, as there have already been words exchanged...

And for everyone out there saying, "But I'm the customer!"....I have no problem with a refund, don't get me wrong, but when the buyer knows and realizes they ordered the wrong item, who's fault is it really??? Why should I be penalized for HIS mistake? Because he doesnt want to admit it? On a listing that clearly states NO RETURNS?? Would have been entirely different if he approached with a more "humble" attitude...

So now, my Top Rated Seller badge will be gone, my feedback percentage blown, shipping costs absorbed, and countless customers lost....All because 1 customer ordered the wrong item and couldn't man up and admit it....thanks Bob...you're the best!

If your getting the kit back, and he is getting his refund.
I doubt that the top seller status will be impacted.

Sellers can always always respond to neg fb if he leaves it. I think you'll be ok, but yeah, it's a pain when folks don't know enough to get what they want...

In my eyes, it shouldn't be, but eBay is wacky.

Sellers can always always respond to neg fb if he leaves it. I think you'll be ok, but yeah, it's a pain when folks don't know enough to get what they want...

Yah, it'll just hurt my %. I may be able to get it removed by showing his message to me telling me "Top Notch feedback is on the way!"  yes

Maybe THIS will give me more motivation to finish our webstore and get it open finally. It's ready to go, just adding more items so that it will serve more people.  yes

Thanks,

To all that read/responded:

I posted only because I wanted others to be aware of this buyer, should he attempt to buy from them. This was a bad experience that truly could have been avoided with just a couple of questions.

Reading your comments reminds me how lucky we are to have friends and customers like you...and that more than makes up for the occasional negative experience, sale, or words.  More importantly though, it made me realize how grateful we are for all the wonderful people we have "met".  Many of you initially came into our life through a transaction of some kind (us buying from you, you buying from us), but you are now absolutely regarded as our friends, and that means the A LOT to us.  Business is business though. So when a deal is on the table, our friendship is put aside, and you can be assured you are respected as customers first!  yes  After that, we can go back to being friends!  Tongue Out

Thank you for your continued support and kind words.

Ros  Just a idea but on your ebay adds why don't you put the measurements of the glass. The way I look at it is if a fellow has the numbers right in front of him and buys the wrong size, he's up the creek.

Steve - I found the same thing a minute ago when I looked, some state size, some don't. Hopefully, i wont be listing much more glass on eBay, but what I do list, I'll try and remember to include the measurements...

Anyway, you wouldn't buy a shirt off eBay without knowing the size or car tires, etc...I was asked if it fit an S+...and I wasn't wrong by answering yes...didn't know I was verifying size, thought I was answering in regard to platform.

Thanks to everyone for their input.  wave

Steve If you can't tell the difference between 16" and 9" glass in those two pictures you have no business buying slot glass in the first place.

Hi,
I am calculus314. I bought the glass from Central Valley Slots. I recently purchased my first slot machine. I decided to get a couple extra games since it is Christmas time. I saw the games on Ebay and they looked good. I asked if these fit an S+ and was told yes. I knew I had an S+.  No size was ever asked, such as, What size S+ do you have? I realize that everyone here is very knowledgeable about the sizes, but I am not. No sizes were ever stated in the ad. So in good faith, I bought them. Now, I have been selling on Ebay for 15 years and know the value of descriptions. If someone was ordering a head gasket and said "does this fit a Chevy"? I wouldn't just say yes. I would say this only fits a 6 cylinder or a 4 cylinder. But regardless. He is here to "warn" you to watch out for me. At the same time whining that he has to "absorb the shipping" Lets get to the truth. Just for the first kit, I PAID $19 return shipping. You get your glass back, you lose no money. You even get your Ebay fee back. I lose $19. That's just the first one. To act like this is what I want to do is order something that doesn't fit, then spend my own money to send it back. No, that isn't anybodys goal. But if you feel better telling the forum some untruths like you absorbed ANY shipping then go ahead. Your character is showing. I have since checked other kit dealers in Ohio and on their websites, they ALWAYS show what size their glass fits.  Hail

sorry to hear of your misfortune calculus but i am sure Ros at cv slots will take care of you..... shes a great person and would go beyond her means to get you the exact kits you need..... in the future you should post on here in classifieds what you need for your slot machines instead of going on ebay..... its a lot easier to find the correct  parts here...... there is a ton of great vendors on this site.......

 Merry Christmas

Hi Calculus314!

 NLG Welcome

Regardless of where or how you buy your machine or parts, you can always come to this site for help.
I bought my first machine a year ago and have learned so much thanks to these great folks.
I've bought good parts that I've blown up, bad parts that weren't good to begin with, and made a lot of friends along the way (not all of them like me of course  bust gut laughing).
If you get the slot bug, it can be a lot of fun (and frustrating), but you can also blow off steam here too.

Best of luck with your new machine!
