The issue could be your graphics set or caprom.... it could also be a monitor problem.
Using the self test button you can do a color test.

Welcome to NLG!

Have the colors ever been correct on this machine?

As Jay said, you can run a test to see if the colors are correct in the test mode.  Open the door and press the self test button a number of times -- towards the end of the configuration pages are three solid screens of red, green, and blue along with a crosshatch pattern screen and a screen of dots.  Are the solid color screens in color?

I did the self test but the colors are all showing up solid and nice the caprom is unlabeled(the one that came with the machine) and I bought an eprom set from april and the one she gave me was a 1231 brian at rocky mountain told me I needed a 2174 to go with the new 5 games I installed which took away joker poker and nevada bonus. the red color comes out on the top pay table after a win otherwise the colors are gray with a yellow border at the menu screen and the cards all being dark gray with a outline of red on the faces of the face cards. The colors were fine until I screwed up and broke a leg pulling an game eprom for a set chip so thats why I got the the five new games and this new problem to try and work out. All of the eproms are unlabeled besides saying the mro mbo mgo mxo program and data thanks for the replies in advance. Chris sullivan

If you go into the self-test menu you can retrieve the applicable chip numbers needed.

 yes

Something like this:

Did the new set you bought come with a CAP chip and are you using it?  Have you tried using the old CAP chip (or a different CAP chip if you have one available -- you won't hurt anything even if you put in the wrong CAP chip)?

...and did your old set contain exactly the following games?

Joker, Double Bonus, Double Double Bonus, Double Deuce, Nevada Bonus

If so, it looks like you used to have XM000004P (and that's what you want to get from a vendor if you want those games back).

Would you mind listing what five games you have now with the XM000008P chip installed?  Thanks in advance.  The PE+ stuff isn't well documented, and I'm slowly trying to piece the puzzle together.

I installed the new eproms that april sent me and no color on the cards, she then sent me a capx 1231. I tried it after I was already using the old one when I installed the new five games from april which are double double,, deuces wild, double bonus, bonus poker and bonus poker deluxe. the old game did contain those you are talking about above joker poker, double bonus, double deuces, and nevada bonus. I have even swithched those out and reinstalled they work but no color on cards with either cap chip. thanks in advance

Chris   exactly what chip did you break the leg off of????     If the leg is half off, it can be repaired, and even if the leg is broken at the off at the top it might be able to be repaired!!!!    Are the replacements you got the same size as the older set e.g.  27c256   or 27c512???? especially the program  chip.

But prior to you breaking off the leg all colors and graphics were normal and the was working fine ????
