I recently got me an IGT Lucky Sevens 1995 model Slot Machine. Ive been looking forever. When I got it home and powered it up all it would do was run through test mode. Error code for battery replacement was displayed so i ordered a new 3.6V battery and soldered it on the board. Then Th machine was in tilt mode because of the door optic was broke. I ordered a new door optic and new Reset Key and Switch. Powered up the machine and now I'm getting everything to function however the machine keeps displaying error code 61. I looked around and saw that code 61 is memory reset....Here is my deli-ma...I was told by the previous owner the machine was set to not take coins and just spin at the pull of the handle and now I have the 61 code displayed.

What Chips do i need to get this thing back to working? I think i need IGT S plus Game Prom, Reel Prom and a CMOS Clear/Reset Chip. I want to get it to function and to where i can make the machine payout often. Everything works when in test mode the display the sound the candle on top and the hopper and reels all work in test mode.

Also I notice when i put a coin in the machine it falls out in the coin tray. And there is no green light on the comparator.

Should I order a new motherboard? If so where can i get one?
Where can i get the correct Prom Chips?
Where and how do i know the correct comparator?

And even then how did the previous owner set the machine to not take coins?

HELP PLEASE!

I have pictures attached.

Which Eproms are currently on the board?  You should have an S+ machine.  Post which 2 eproms you hace, and somebody here will have the PSR that will tell you the correct settings you need.
I couldnt see any pics on your post.

Which Eproms are currently on the board?  You should have a base chip SBXXXXX and 2 game eproms SGxxxx?
I couldnt see any pics on your post.

Magicslots   Not on a S+

cbevill   Press the test button until you hear a ding, 61 will change to a 65-1 close main door and turn jackpot key one time.

On a S+ the coin comparator light will not come on with the door open.

interesting. Ok so the coin comparator is probably okay then? The previous owner said they had a jumper or something of some sort for the machine to just spin without depositing any coins. Id like to fix it back just a little looser... : ) and i want the coins to go...not fall out into the tray. Do you know where i can get or what part number the chips i can get to reprogram or clear the memory??? For some reason i cannot clear the 61 error.

Im going to order a clear chip and try that before i replace the mother board and coin comparator. Nice to know the lights wont come on on the coin comparator when door is open. Thanks for the TIP. Hopefully the clear chip will reset this bad boy and stop showing the 61 error code.

Thanks everyone.

Hold on I'm not saying anything is good or bad. I'm just saying the CC light will not come on if the main door is open on a S+ machine.

Are we on the same page with the test button? It's the small white button right next to the on/off switch ( power switch ), on some machines it may be located on the back site of the power switch, no way you can see it but you can touch it. If you press this testbutton the numbers on the display will change, if they don't check the test switch with a meter. ( I don't recall ever having to change one ) Until we know if the test switch is good or bad were dead in the water.

Need to know the numbers on your Game chip, it will be SP****, might as well post the Reel chip numbers also SS**** Need to know this to come up with the correct clear and set chips.  Does you machine have a Bill Validator ( except dollar bills ?? ) If no BV you don't need a set chip and a clear chip is one of the worst things you need right now. There is a out side chance you don't have a 61 error, maybe the last time the machine paid out it was for 61 credits. Oh and a clear chip WILL not clear a 61 error.

My list shows your SS4755 to be a 2 coin 95.074 % payback. Good, but there are a few a little higher out there. The good thing with the S+
is that they are built like tanks...Once you get it up and running they are super solid!!  applause
