Hello,
Just bought my first slot. A non working Double Red White & Blue. When I got it home and powered it on the  Bill Validator cycled, but the machine was dead.I was able to fix the power supply problem and get the game working but not the Bill Validator .
With help reading this board I was able to verify that the BV is enabled and I cleaned all the connectors.

Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Scott

Is the bezel for the bill validator turning on when the machine is ready to accept a coin?  Does it try to accept a bill, or does it not even try?

Is there a stacker box ("cash can") firmly inserted into the enclosure below the validator?  Try removing it and really slamming it into place.

Thanks for the reply guys,
No light on the bezel.
Won't try and accept bills.
There is a cash can and I have slammed it in and also cleaned the optos.
Someone had put the wires together with  a connector on the door switch to bypass it.
The two LEDs are both on by the dip switches on the BV.

Another question. does the coin comparitor have any connection with the BV because the led is off on it too?

I have 25 years working on coin-op video games and pinball machines and a few skill stop machines for friends, but these are different animals.
Thanks again for the help. Scott

Scott  If it's a S+ the coin comparator light will not come on with the main door open. See if there is a sticker on the BV, you need a IDO 23/24 (I think) I have only had a couple of S+ with WBA so I'm not sure but I would think all dip switches on the BV transport should be OFF. Again I'm not sure.

Kevin  Don't forget the cash can door switch

I didn't. He said the game was working -- it wouldn't work if it thought the cash can door was open. Tongue Tongue Tongue

What about the dip switches on the BV transport? Maybe the previous owner turned them all off

DBV  All the dip switches are on the head and they are all OFF.  Somewhere I also have that flip manual  if you want it.

Your right Buzz about the CC light. I thought it would come on in test. Its not working so I bypassed it for now. I wasn't sure if the BV and the coin mech worked together in any way. If you tie back the gate on the coin mech. it accepts coins. If not they drop into the tray.

The BV has a sticker with IDO 22/23 on it. V2.02 is wrote in pen on it. All dips are off.

Thanks Scott
