how do you adjust the volume on a s- plus 16 meg board and does the Sp chip affect this  ???

Go to the setup menu as usual (0 in coins-in and "2   [0|1]" in the winner paid/credit windows) and turn the jp key once. You should get option 3. That's the volume control. It's bass akwards. Levels are from 1-9 with 9 being the softest  volume  Duh!  Go figure.  If you turn the key once more you should be in Option 5 (Player selectable credit)

From what I see, it's the same for all of the 16MHz chips, but don't quote me.

One of the great mocumentaries of all time!  My favorite gag was the Stonehenge prop. They were expecting this huge 12 foot Stonehenge to drop down onto the stage and the model was only 12 inches high. LMAO. rotflmao rotflmao

There are newer SP chips just for the 16mhz, not sure about the older SP ones

Yes, you can't use the 10 meg SP's in the 16, SP 1145 is common along with some other higher numbers, but 1145 and 1146 for haywire are all that you need unless you are dealing in Barcrest
