I am getting a dot matrix commination error code on my Barcrest Top Dollar so I guess I'm looking to buy a dot matrix display for my game. Anybody? Thanks. Bill

Had this Tpo Dollar with a blacked out top display. Did my homework, and replaced C2 & C3 (22uF 100V) caps in the top display box and it came right up. Problem solved. Not sure if this is the correct location for this reply but feel free to move it. Bill

That is good info,  This is for s-2000 aux vfd correct?  c-2 and c-3 are rite on the pwr grid.  If c-2 or c-3 are dead You get nothing!.  I actually had this and knew about it a while back.  Just seeing this post so----K+~~~~B.

I wish  I would have seen this   VHD "fix"  about a month ago.  ( S2000  Top Dollar. )

I had the same "dot mat. com error" and thought I was dead in water and would have to find  a  complete, working VHD.

So,  for  $ 1. 50   cost for  2 capacitors....  about   5 minutes to remove VHD, open it up,  remove  C2  and  C3 caps...solder in new ones...  My VHD  is now working ! ! ! !

Thank you very much !    Good stuff to know and pass along ! ! !

Excellent.  I have about 20 of these things to fix! .  I remembered this fix from an old thread or pm  Scratch Head a long time ago.  I had just gotten all mine out to complete some orders and many were dead.  Thanks again --B.  And Chris glad you can get some of your others going as well.
