Anyone know what this might mean?  BV does not make any of the normal noises when the machine boots up.  Guess I'll swap with a known good and see what she does.

Make sure the cash can is in all the way. Do the same thing to the BV, pull it out and back in. If you do change the BV with a known good one there is a good chance you will need the CRC calibrated, S 2000 this can be done by opening and closing the main door latch a few times.  Game King you must go to the screen. Or you can press test button go to IO test go to Net Plex Auto Config. Now I posted this last week, if in Auto Config if it comes out "BV not Responding" No matter how many good BV you install, they will not work until you go back to "Net Plex Auto Config " If in auto config it comes back BV installed, go down to CRC calibrated and do it manually, or just close and open the door latch a few times with the door closed.

I'm betting on the cash can !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I tried reseating the BV and the cash can.  Then went in to have it do the CRC, it found the bill validator but could not get a response on the CRC.  I pulled a known good one and stuck in there and up she came, so from when I bought the machine on Tuesday till yesterday the BV failed.  Lucky for me the guy who sold it to me should pony up a new one.  I do need to see if it was the head or the transport that is bad but I'm having to work tonight so my troubleshooting time was cut way back.

Thanks for the things to try Buzz, always a great help!
