Hi everyone, I have a Con2 model A that I want to connect to 5 igt game king using only the "JP0"level for the Royal Flush. Such connection I have already done it before using a Con2 model I with the same type of machines. The thing is that this model A in particular I really don't have that much information. So far I did made the connection using the serial, I/O Ground and for the machine, I multiplexed the 5 machine signal for the coin in, in the pin 1 of the 40 pin connector. That particular pin functions as a coin in/Jackpot A according to the manual, the pin 2 is a coin in/Jackpot B , the pin3 is a coin in/Jackpot 3 and the pin 4 is a coin in /Jackpot 4. when i use them no increment is visible in the progressive, so i stayed in the pin1.  pins 5-8 are set as no connections and pin 9 denotes the first machine thru pin 40 for the last machine. I tried to place the machine in pins 9 Thru 40 and no increment is visible either, so that's why I placed the first machine in pin1, adding more machines in the same pin results in a reset of the current value for the progressive level back to the base value.   I have the Royal flush value in the game screen, using the psp program I set M-05 which is the recommended setting for igt newer games and MS-04 for a single group "JP0"and no cycling. I can set as well a MS-08 which is the same thing but cycling is available. Does anybody has deal with this particular model of con2?  Scratch Head
My problem is since a long coin in to the con2 results in a Jackpot, the current progressive value resets to initial value when more then 3 machines are played. I think that using the same channel for the input signals is my problem here, any help will be appreciated.

Hi memusa!

Sorry, bad news.  I learned from this site that only a CON2-i will work with IGT.  That's according to a user named Jay, who is quite familiar to the progressives and paid a LOT for a CON2 that was not "i" and couldn't use it.  It's buried somewhere in the Mikohn section ... could probably search for CON2i.

 bawling Duh!

CON2A controllers do not allow serial return to IGT machines. All eight jackpot groups can be used for Mystery Jackpot games with up to 30 machines. See Figure 3 for reset switch inputs for this controller. frying pan Silly Me! that's what I found about the Controller.

There's a connection that can work with the igt games. But I need to find the coin in relay and the jackpot relay in the machine. I do get the value on the machine's screen. But since Mikohn recommends not to use the serial connection on this controller model, my question is: Is there any other method used to get the values on screen not using the serial interface in the machines communication board?   lightning bolt Any help would be appreciated

While waiting for some of the experts to chime in, I'll throw this out there ... what about using a Mikohn Gateway?  I did that with a CON1 on a PE+.

No available Mikohn Gateway.... I am considering a frequency multiplex circuit to avoid resetting due to coin in signals merge in the same Coin in/Jackpot A level when playing the five machines, if only one is played no problem at all....  stir the pot / get cooking  This will be like the solution to get the Con2A working in a serial mode!! applause
