I just got an IGT S+ machine.   I am trying to convert the DBV-45 validator to the DBV-200.  I am currently waiting on the update chip for the software to accept the current bills and a new power supply since the old validator is 117V and the new is 12V.  My problem is the dip switch settings.  I know or I should say I think that 1 - 6 in Dip Sw1 should be set to off but I'm not sure about 7-10.  I also am not sure about Dip Sw2 settings.

Thank you, I did see that and was still a little confused but I think I'm starting to get it.  Next question is how do I know what software version I have to set the dip switch for?  Whould that be on the chip?

For S+ it is ID-022/023

Here is another dumb question I just thought of.  Since I changed the DBV-45 whick is 117V to a DBV-200 that is 12V, Do I need to change the transport unit as well?

It's been so long I dealt with a 200 but I believe you do. And may have to replace power supply
with vent style.

Thanks.  The old unit was a DBV-45 not 145 if that makes a difference or not.  I just got the meter out though and tested the leads and found that the power supply is 12V.  Not sure why the old validator was marked 117V.  Now I just have to wait for the eprom chip and see if I can figure out these dip switches.

As I recall the dip switches are all turned OFF. I've never seen a DBV 45 and didn't even know they made such a thing.

If the game uses IDO-022 interface, you need to turn #10 dipswitch on. The software on the chip supports both protocols and #10 is how you set it for either ID-022 or ID-023 protocol.
