I have successfully swapped a "normal spin sound" SB 924 game chip on my 5R9L-90 credit machine with the SB 497 game chip and now get the "melody" spin and win sounds.   yes

I have successfully swapped on my 360 credit machine to the SB 798 game chip and now get the "melody" spin and win sounds.  yes

I cannot determine on my 180 credit machine (Triple Lucky 7's) on what is the alternate "melody" SB game chip vs the "normal sound" SB 927 that is in there now.  no

Anyone know what that would be for the 180 credit ?  Help

Thanks.

I'm not sure but will throw out that I would try, a 100496.  Out of curiosity, what SG is in the machine?

The SG is either 523 or 363. Those don't matter though, it isn't until i change the SB chip that the sounds change. I have done this on multiple machines.  I'll see if i have a 496 to try. Thx

I am trying to do the same thing..  Trying to get my Trp Luck 7s 5r9l to
run in 90 or 180 credit in ANYTHING but legacy sounds.  I hate Legacy sounds.

I have tried SB100497, and SB100924  with SG000363, SG000597, SG000523

None of these work....  Anybody got a working combo?   frying pan    hissy fit  hissy fit  hissy fit

For the 90 credits you need to use the SB 497; i had it working with both the SG363 and SG523; so those don't make a difference.  I believe you have to get back into the MenuTree on the machine to set the reel sounds to "melody".. The 497 will work with the 90 credit.

SB497 with 363's 523'sor 312's,  all produce generic only

Isnt the paytable the same as Triple Red Hot Sevens?   What combo gives enhanced sound for that game???

The SG 363, 362, 598 ect will NOT! change the sounds...only the SB chip will do that.

Also heard rumors that the version chip will change them....but I have never been able to prove that theory....

Has anyone tried a 498 game chip ?  The 497 is the melody sounds for the 90 credit; i tried a 496 and that is for a 45 credit; just taking a stab here that the next one up "498" would be for the 180 credit.
