A couple really nice rol-a-tops pictured . There were a few high top repo's  at the show asking price for them was around $1,200. The floor models started at $18,000 and up. The one pictured was $28,000. The rol-a-tops are still holding a good price between $3,400 coin front  to $7,500. cherry front and bird of paradise. I saw a few new dealers I haven't seen at previous shows, although the 2nd building had alot of empty spaces available.

Sorry Ron and everyone, no group picture.  bawling If you go to the Gallery you'll see what was taken in the parking lot, as you can see I was busy loading everyones slots!  Duh! At the show, we helped some stranger load 2 slant tops into a mini-van (pics in Gallery) myself and Railroad94 got cuts in the process, but we made them fit. Seller told us he'd take $1000 for the PE slant top he still had.  bust gut laughing If you look at the Gallery pics you'll see Diecaster looking like Grizzly Adams, actually the beard looks good and Karaoke Mike is in a couple helping me load HIS RT Super Spin Sizzlin 7's onto MY lift cart.  rotflmao

The more I see, the more I want.  How did this show compare to previous shows?

Thanks,

I had a good time seeing everyone again. One of these days, I'm going to talk the other half into getting a game from Dan since this show is always a week before my birthday. Maybe next year!

The show seemed to be smaller than in the past, but with the way the economy has been, it's what I expected. Prices seemed down from years past and the one vendor which has been at every show I can remember with brass cash registers wasn't there. This was the one vendor I wanted to see because in the past he was selling restoration videos on these beasts.

Hope Ron's back is OK, seems it gets a good workout at least twice a year!

Hi all. Went to the show and I did not like it. I was looking for parts for some of my machines but there were not many vender's there with slot machines. Just old ones like mills. No newer machines or parts. The whole show took about 20 minutes to see and 5 and 1/2 hours to get there. Very disappointed and would not go back. Need better shows to find parts for newer machines.

I went two years ago and my synopsis was the same. There was one vendor selling some sad looking S+'s from the parking lot and the show itself was more memoribilia and jukeboxes.
I will be going back to the show which will involve a 3hr flight from where I live, rental car, hotel etc and I likely will not purchase anything due to the hassle to bring it home. My purpose of going will be just to hang out with the other members. I think the best part of the show is the NLG swap meet at Mc'ds .... it certainly isn't the food.

Hi all. Do you think  its time to get all the NLG members together to put on a swap and sell show just for slot machines. It would make more since to all if you could bring your extra parts and sell them to other slot machines collectors like us. You might be able to sell more machines if that is what you advertise in the paper or on NLG.We should get together and see if it is possable in northern Ohio.  JUST A THOUGHT.

That would be my main reason for going if I could ever make it. They could even hold it at a McDonald's and I'd still want to come to meet and hang out with everyone...

Still, clown2948's idea is already taking place on a smaller scale in the parking lot each year; it might be interesting if you guys could expand that concept. stir the pot / get cooking

Actually the show and meets happen twice a year, spring and fall. If you go back to the last threads on each show, you'll see many comments by attending members that stated the best part of it was the pre-show meet. We have a pretty consistent showing with 12-15 members coming every meet, sometimes more depending on people's schedules. And machines from DansGames aren't the only thing that changes hands at the meet either, kits, manuals and parts are bought sold, traded or just given away!! Sorry, you didn't make the meet clown2948 maybe your opinion might have changed a little. I assume your schedule did not coincide with the meet for you to be able to attend. Your ideas about get togethers and a possible swap meet is also something that we already do, or try to at members houses during the year. I would suggest doing what I did when I got on NLG, start corresponding with other members in your area and then try to get something going, Ohio, due to its friendly slot laws would be a good choice for you guys in that region. We've got Midwest members that drive 3-3 1/2 hrs to get to the meet, an honorary midwest member that drives from waayyy down south, so who knows, maybe a few of us will stop by your regional shindig too!
