After several years my CHAMII has been losing it's memory. I have reloaded it twice in the last
couple of months with no problem. But since I replaced the battery that was reading 2.2 volts
(with VL2020 by panasonic) it only comes up the C1. I check both harnesses, one from the PC
and one in the machine. Both check OK with a meter. New battery is 3.5 volts.

The machine reads: Link Progreesive down. What do I try next?

Wow Ron, you wrote the book on this stuff (literally it is what I used to get mine going) so I dont pretend to know any more than you.  But I did just finish programming my Cham II+ and could not get past the "Link Progressive down" and "C1" error forever.  Turned out I had to slide that switch on the board itself and make one of the settings "SA" for stand alone.  As soon as I did that, I was in business with PSP.  Can't imagine that helps, but it may help someone out there who will read this in the future as it took me a long time to finally find that I needed to do that.  Wish I could help more.  Thank you for posting all of those great notes on the setup, etc.  I have re-posted them below in case others need them.

Thanks Fourbyracer for your reply. Your original problem was the casino that had your
mikohn set it up for more than one machine. That was covered under my Mikohn Display Settings.

Looks like I will have to go thru each and every setting and see if anything has changed because
of a battery change.

Thanks again.
