What ram clear chips do you have (procedure is slightly different depending)?  What version of Game King are you clearing (different clear chips)?  What's the reason for the clear (maybe you don't have to)?  :Dave

Regardless of those questions, here are common Game King steps for Las Vegas jurisdiction based games:

1.  Turn off machine.
2.  Remove MPU.
3.  Replace BASE chip with KEY/CLEAR chip (make sure notch is facing same direction and that legs don't bend).
4.  Insert MPU.
5.  Turn on machine.
6.  Follow directions below based on your key chip.

KEY 17 (skip if using KEY 22 or 40)

6a.  The screen will turn purple and both lights on the MPU will illuminate.
6b.  It is now safe to proceed to step 7.

KEY 22 or 40 (skip if using KEY 17)

6a.  A menu will appear with 4 choices: Clear RAM, Clear EEPROM, Key Chip Menu and Reboot.
6b.  Press the White Reset button to move from menu item to menu item.  Turn Jackpot Reset key to enable or disable each menu item choice.  To clear everything, set all 3 options to YES, then turn Jackpot Reset key on the Reboot option.
6c.  Wait for software to execute your choices.  You will be prompted to turn off the machine and replace the BASE chip.

7.  Turn off machine and remove MPU.
8.  Replace BASE chip (make sure notch is facing same direction and that legs don't bend).
9.  Insert MPU.
10. Turn on machine.

11b.  It is now safe to proceed to step 12.

KEY 22 or 40 (skip if using KEY 17)

11b. If you chose Clear EEPROM, then you will be prompted to turn the Jackpot Reset key and press/hold the White Test button.
11c.  If you chose Key Chip, then you will enter the Key Chip menu.
11d.  It is now safe to proceed to step 12.

Hope this helps!   wave

One more bit of info ... you cannot go directly to key chip menu if there are still credits on the machine.
