what is the difference between S2000 and S2000-I -  I find service manuals for the S2000-I but not for S2000.

I may be wrong sir, but I know that IGT made "Intermediate" S+'s.
I think they were narrower (for cruise ships)
Could they have also made "narrower" S2000's?
Someone please correct me if I'm wrong about this...

Hi

S2000 I was the S2000 International. This was a slightly stripped down version of the standard S2000 and was developed for the international market as a replacement for the S+ when those became obsolete.
The processor board has only got drive circuits for 3 reels and i think the sound circuit is also different. mostly these were used with the SB000001 base which allows you to use S+ SS Eproms.
There is also a difference on the display layout. Apart from that i think alll other parts are pretty much interchangaable.

Regards
Ian

Hello Again

From IGT Manual
IGT Part Number 821-354-00
S2000-I Field Service Supplement

The S2000-I machine is an updated version of the popular S-Plus™
spinning reel machine. This machine is specifically designed for the
international marketplace and provides the best of both worlds for
players and operators alike: the instant attraction of a spinning reel
with all the technological advancements of an 80960 processor board.
In addition to the base processor, the S2000-I machine supports all
traditional S-Plus games, and is capable of supporting S2000 specific
game themes with single-channel mono sound.
The S2000-I machine uses a vacuum fluorescent display (VFD) to
communicate player and attendant messages in a written format and
has a fixed 7-button player panel. It also supports all currently active
note denominations from as many as 40 different countries (as also
found on the Vision Series® and S2000 machines).

Awwww, heck with finding a manual, that quest will take forever. Just sell me the glass kit and relieve you stress for searching for it. lol. I would like to find that particular glass kit though. Hint, hint to any members out there.

Do you know how to disable the sound during the demo mode ?

I haven't found where to shut it down in the menus.

Eeeehhh...
I don't have those options...

I have:

3 OPTIONS
   2 Sound Options
      1 Game volume
      2 Spin sound
      3 Stop sound
      4 Mech Bell
      5 ROLLUP

no others...
no ATTRACT anywhere.

I use the menu triggered by the little white button inside.
Any other menu I am not aware of ?

thanks guys,

Jay
