This is a new machine. Have not had it working yet. 502 board I ran the 97 clear, got the 2 yellow top lights, repeated 3 times, shut down replaced sb chip. Turned back on - alarmed - turned reset 4 times - testing memory - push white button 2-3 sec - close main door. That's all it will do. Latch is all the way down. Tried 2 different sets of good known optics. Opened belly door, removed bv looked in to see optics lined up perfect. Do not see any broken wires. Don't know what to check next.  Scratch Head Belly door & bv door have been by passed. 1st time I had run into this. Any Ideas...... Scratch Head

You said it's a 502 board.  LOOK for bad or damaged traces around the green battery.

I'm not saying this is your problem, but trace the two wires that go from the door optic to some where behind/below the number 1 reel. you will find a two wire plug, maybe it has a bad connection. Or you can trace the cabnet optic wires over to that same plug.

Ok I will check wire connectors. Just tried another MPU and still same problem, that rules that out.

Door optics don't run through the IO card Roz. Neither does BV faceplate wiring, but everythong else does

When you find that two wire plug, run a jumper wire from the door optic red wire to the Green cabnet optic wire. Optics are now bypassed. If and I did say if the jumper works, you can cut the jumper wire and run both of the cut ends to the cherry switch.

Well screw it I typed it I'm gonna post it.

Rob  You wouldn't think a bad WBA would give you a No Display error but it happened to me about a week ago. There is no rhythm or reason what one of these slot machines will do. I've had a S+ Haywire DBV 200 kicking my A$$ for a couple of days. Three different numbered SP chips, four different 200 heads and transports, four BV power supplies ( one set from a BV working Double Diamone Deluxe ) one BV chassis that I got from Joey last weekend  nothing would work, finally pulled the BV from a 5 reel S+.  It fixed the problem. Now the kicker, I put the BV that wouldn't work in the Haywire into the 5 reeler and it works. Now what can really piss you off is the Haywire is leaving here tomorrow as a GIFT, I gave it away. ( 2 coin round top )

I can't argue with that Buzz, god knows I've had my share of weird sh%t kick my butt on these machines. Was just making the technical observation. I like and use your solution on every game I get, first thing out of the box. After I play it for a bit of course yes
