I recently bouth an IGT S+ machine.  its great fun.  My question is We have hit a jackpot twice now that should have paid out 640 credits.  Instead of paying out or giving credits it just starts dinging and the candle starts fllashing.
I'm assuming that is some sort of Hand Pay conditiion but I would rather it just paid it out.  I have the max hopper pay set to 2500 coins which is the max jackpot.  Is there some other setting that make it do a hand pay instead of just paying out.

Thanks in advance for any help
Tom

Ok, I am a total noob as well but from what I understand, some chips may ignore dip switch settings. After hitting a Jackpot, it would be much easier to use the reset key than adding the credits.

Gaugeguy is sort of right.

The settings differ from game chip to game chip.

On the old chips hopper limits are goverened by dipswitches 300 & 400 were the only choices.
On the slightly newer chips max credits and hopper limits were tied together.
On the later chips there is separate max credits and max hopper.

I suspect this is the case, post your game chip number back and we can be more exacting.

I think I have it figured out... I had changed the max hopper pay from 600 to 2500 but did not get out of test mode properly so it didnt save it.

I think I have it set right now...  just waiting for someone to his a jackpot bigger than 600

Thanks

Good deal.  As a note to you and anyone else who may see this thread in the future, it's important to have zero credits on the machine when making settings changes, especially ones involving jackpot and hopper limits, as you typically can't make those changes (or sometimes access the settings) when there are credits still on the machine.
