What show is this and where? I will be in the area this weekend and I'll stop by if it is of interest!

It's a Pheasant Run Resorts in St. Charles, il....  A group of us usually meet at the Mc Donalds just past the show at about 8 am to have breakfast, make a few deals, etc..     Here's a link to the show..           http://www.chicagolandshow.com/

I will be there too, I also have a couple of machines that I'm thinking of parting with, (1) 3Times Pay 9 line 5 reel backlit 180 credit .25  & 3 Coin .25 Double Hearts. PM for pic & Price.  Both are very clean machines.

Never been to this show and see it's coming up again later in the year. Are there typically any slots for sale that aren't antique? Or are we only talking Mills era stuff?

Most of the stuff there is antique stuff.  There were a few newer slots there, but everything at the show was way overpriced.

The real deals and the nice, newer machines were sold at the McDonald's parking lot during the  nlg meet-up before the actual show.  yes

Ahh, great tip. I'll keep my eyes peeled for the "insider's" pre-show meet-up then! Thanks!!

I was there a number of years ago and was pretty disappointed with the show.
The fun was meeting with other NLG members.
Member Diecaster was a long time member that does not appear online as of late.
He ran an alimumn casting place and gave my son and I a great tour.

Lots of Paschilo vendors (Japanese slots) and yes over priced.
Lots of antique looking machines which were re-casts not orginals.
Playing with the many pinballs was fun but costs were 2K+
Some very old juke boxes and if you were looking for rare parts this show was for you.
Loads of neon and old coke and other advertising memorbilia. If you watch american pickers the prices were not of any bargin nature.

My concusion go to meet other members, pay for 1 day of the show - get an education on various things, do your shopping on ebay.

I agree with Jay. I have been going for several years just to meet up with the NLG members.

Here are some pictures of the show & meeting at Mikey D's in 2011. http://newlifegames.net/nlg/index.php?action=mgallery;sa=viewalbum;id=31

Thanks for the pics. Those look like some serious negotiations going down over the slot stools!
