I bought my first slot machine today.  My slot machine has a printer but is disable. The guy I bought it form tried to enable it but fail. He said something about his chips didn't allow him to change the setting because slot machine has security and that he need different chip to enable the printer. My first question where can I buy the chip to enable the printer? Second question  is how do I get in the menu? Third question how to remove the motherboard so I can post photos of the chips the slot machine have. The slot machine I have is igt Triple Red Hot 7's s2000 date MFG: 11/03 model number 96438300. Thanks

Hi and welcome to NLG. To enable the printer you will needs what's referred to as a "key" chip. Specifically a key31. This will allow you to access the programming menus that enable the printer. Best bet at this point is to place a wanted to buy ad in the classified section here on the site. There's a learning curve involved with using that chip and you might wait until you have it in your possetion to go further with this. In the mean time though, you might use the search box above to locate the S2000 menu diagram that one of our members posted not to long back. It will give you a better understanding of what's available in menu options. The games menus are accessed by pressing the small white button on the front of the motherboard, as you called it, MPU is the proper name. After pressing that button, you can navigate through the menus and make changes using the player buttons on the machine. I do not recommend messing with this a whole lot until you have your key chip. Menus can be exited by simply closing and latching the door. Hope this helps you get started...

NLG Welcome    I think the next time you buy a machine you should  buy from someone that knows what he's doing.

Thanks for the help everyone. The guy seems to know what he talking about. I bought it because $400 seem like a good price compared to others slot machine I seen in Craiglist. The seller told me that he buys his slot machine in vegas and pick them a week later. I'm located in southern California. I finally when in to the menu, in 2.2.1disable/enabled it just says printer enabled. Is the printer disable or enabled? I'm continues reading the manual. If I buy the key31 how do I use it? Thanks again everyone for your help.

Southern Cal covers a wide area, I live between Palmdale and Victorville and I would be glad to give you a hand and a Key 31, maybe throw in a clear 97 for the fun of it.   You can just send me your address using a PM
