S2000 - Any way to set looser than 98.1%?

Hey all,

I have a Double Diamond machine, It's currently set to 98.1%, but it almost never pays out, a couple coins here and their, but none of the big pays.    It looks like the 98.1% is the highest I can set it, is there any other way to set the machine to pay out more?

There is but it is called a Tournament Base Chip.
Other wise you are stuck with the highest payback in a Base chip.
Also realize that is the normal payback over 10,000,000 plays on average with like a 95% confidence if I remember right. and they use simulation to calculate it.
in the short term it can vary greatly from that. but you can tell what your machine is doing in the accounting menu
one will show actual payback percentage(player has been paid) and another is hold% (what the house/casino has been paid) up to that point in time.
For it to be accurate for you machine should have been cleared before you receieved the machine.
if your game chips are new enough you might even have a period accounting section in the accounting menu.



The differences in the payback percentages in a base chip and/or theme  is related to how often the low paying combinations occur (1 or 2 cherries, mixed bars, 3 single bars, etc)
They do not normally increase the chances of hitting something like 3 triple bars or 3 7's with or without the double diamond symbols. and hitting 3 DD on the line is 1 in 373,248 no matter what the payback percentage is set for.

Is there a way to take it in and out of tournament mode? (easily?)

I do believe it is.
The issue can a Double Diamond Tournament Base chip be available to us.
I havent looked or inquired about them
Also a tournament chip does not increase payback by a 10-100 percent but it is more like 500-1000 percent.
I have not come across one myself the only tournament chips I ever got was for the S+ and that was for my Diamond Fives theme
The S+ ST tournament chips are not usable in the S2000.
