HELP!!!
I bought a nonworking Bally V5500 poker machine. By nonworking, I mean the fluorescent lights light up and that is it.
I suspect the power supply is where to start, and would like some instructions on how to go about that if possible. I have the power supply out of the machine. Is there a schematic available to help me locate the points to check for the various voltages? What are the correct voltages? See Pictures below.
Thanks for any help that you might be able to give.
Jerry

To check for proper voltages on the Bally machines, put the power supply back in the machine.
Power on the machine and check for the green leds on the MPU board. All should be illuminated.
If one or a few are not, then chang the power supply.

Thank you for the tip. Please excuse my ignorance, but by MPU board do you mean the board above the monitor? If so, there are no green led's on my board and when the board is in place, you can't see the components because of the front panel on the carrier blocks it. I see no green led's anywhere on my machine except for one on the hopper which I am quite sure has only to do with the hopper itself.

The S5500 has the same power supply.
You can get the schematics on this page.
MK14-S5MOD-9800
But you should get a spare for testing.

Thank you for your help. I downloaded the schematics as you suggested and also ordered a replacement power supply.

Well.....now have a replacement power supply, but my problem remains. Machine is dead in the water, only fluorescent lights come on.
I checked the bridge rectifier and it looks good. Any thoughts????

I checked the circuit breakers and they are ok. I will have to see about checking the transformer.
