I can't seem to find the power source the BV light on the feed bezel. It looked like it came from one of the I/O boards on the door, so I tried other ones to no avail. Any thoughts ??

the connector on the lamp assembly has four pins on it.  pins 1 and 2 are the dc power +13 vdc, it does come from the door I/O, power should be there all the time.

second part is the status signal sent from the bill acceptor to turn these lamps on. pins 3 and 4 of the connector. these come from the connector on the back of the bill acceptor assembly. there should be three connectors, some have four,  the two pin connector is the power for the BV, the 5 pin connector is the NETPLEX data,  you are concerned with the four pin connector, it should only have two wires on it , black/yellow and yellow black, these two wires carry the status signal over to the lamp board.

basically, you have power on the one side of the  lamps, the status signal  turns on Q-1 and provides a ground to the other side of the lamps to turn them on.

Hope this helps
