Hi y'all,
Just purchased this 1996 Hot Peppers, 3 coin, .25 cent machine.

I was told that these visual "heat waves" were intended on some early Hot Peppers machines.. .  . . .. true or not true?    Scratch Head

They only appear above the payline.  Below the payline is normal.

Thanks,
Mike

yes i agree with C/L they may of meant that "ALL" S-PLUS had heat waves in all there reel glass and other glass from "AGE" exposed to the  heat of machine and bulbs close in proximity of the above payline glass  .but not on the hot peppers game theme by itself .

Heheh.. . well I've seen a ton of new and old slots at the casinos and never saw that effect from heat or age so I guess I 'wanted to believe'.  lol

I'll just tell people that I have a very rare prototype ... that'll make me feel better.   yes    Thankfully I didn't overpay for it and it cleaned up well.

My first S+ so I'll be sure to post any questions...

Oh no worries...Wasnt directed towards you, but at the seller? Just humors me to hear what sellers will tell people...

Besides, S+ reel glass is cheap. We have several feet of it.

Let me know if you ever want to replace it.
