A friend's machine is having a bill problem. Instead of cycling as it should, it just clicks and raise up and down slightly. When I slide to top lock bar back and raise the head  it then runs like it should. As soon as I push it back down the gears stop turning and the clicking starts again. All the wheels on the head seem to roll easily. The lights on the side flash and the lights in the head a lit. I am kind of guessing maybe the power supply not giving enough power? Or is it a problem in the head. I have a spare DBV 145. Can I put it in to test? Oh yea, it is a S+.

Thanks Dan, I don't think that is it. I held the unit in my hand and plugged it back in. As long as the matal latch on the head was not locked it would spin. As soon as I pushed the head down enough to latch it, it would slow down and then just click. The clicking does not stop. It would run like that for hours if left plugged in. The clicking is coming from the gear at rear of head. It turns smooth by hand and also when the head is open. Jim
