How long is a short?

WWW
« on: May 24, 2013, 12:15:07 AM »

Hi all
The excel stick was great !. However I cant seem to get this Slant S+ to pay out from hopper on on wins, just always goes to credit.Maybe Im just repeating the same mistake. I have tried to set 5 to 0,1,2,. No worky. I have set 8 to player select bill to credit or change bill to coin at insert. Also set 7 to 200 so it would handpay on large payouts over 200. Any ideas?

Okay, let's go!

First and foremost, there must be zero credits on the machine in order to make changes to these settings.  Cash out and/or play out any credits on the credit meter before continuing.

Set page 0 option 5 to setting "1" to make the default setting that wins will be paid out of the hopper unless the player first presses the Cash/Credit (or "Cash Out") button and then starts playing within 30 seconds.

If you want to force all inserted bills to always be cashed out of the hopper (turning your slot into a glorified quarter change machine), turn DIP switch 4 to the "on" position.

If you want to elaborate on exactly how you want to set up your machine (ie. Do you want bills to always go to the credit meter, always get cashed out, or be player selectable? Do you want all wins to always come from the hopper, always go to credits, or player selectable (and if player selectable, what do you want the default to be?)?), I can post all of the settings you need.

Knagl
The way the customer wants it is for the wins to all be paid from hopper up to 200 credits(quarters in this machine), then after that handpay.. I can change it to all bills go to credit also if thats what is causing problems I have it on select coin changer or bill to credit now.

With the setting at 5-1 and no credits on the machine, if you walk up to the idle machine, drop in a quarter, spin the reels and win, the win should pay from the hopper.  Is the light bulb in the Cash/Credit (or "Cash Out") button working?  If so, the bulb should be off (non-credit mode) when you walk up to the idle machine with no credits on it.  Pressing the button once should turn the light on (credit mode) for about 30 seconds.  If you play within that 30 seconds, any wins will go to the credit meter.  If you don't play within 30 seconds, and there are zero credits on the machine, the light should turn itself back off (non-credit mode).

If your current setting for bills has inserted bills going to the credit meter, then the act of inserting a bill is putting the machine in credit mode (and the light should come on).  If you play at that point all wins will go to credits.  Is that what's happening now (ie. have you been using bills to add credits to the machine)?

Does this help at all?  Is the Cash/Credit (or "Cash Out") button light behaving as I described?
