I have a cham 2 in a double diamond machine it has a cable to the mother board and the other end connects to the cham controller.  There is also a molex connector that is connected to the cable to the top box I am not sure where to plug it in.  I also have read and seem to need a serial cable to connect to the controller to set it up am I correct.  Thanks

I see nobody has helped you with this and you are searching for a serial cable in another post.
It would be best if you can post some pictures of the progressive controller
and the molex connector you speak of so we can guide you in the right direction.

Then we can tell you how to program it in psp, providing you get the cable.
and also how to set the menu inside the S2000, you will also have to key chip the machine
to set it up for the progressive, unless its already set up for one.

The more info and pictures you give the better.

Thanks for the info,  I will get a pic or two.  It looks like the molex is a casino add it is spliced off of the regular connector that goes from the motherboard to the controller.  I am making progress I ordered serial ends and should have them tomorrow.

Thanks

I was able to upload my progressive info to the progressive controller,  C10 went away and my base progressive 12,000.00 cam up.  Now the S2000 shows progressive link down.  I set the s2000 up following the info from r273s basic instructions, any ideas what I might have wrong.

thanks

Recheck your Mikohn Display settings. Make sure you have the "JP GRP" set to  "SA" (stand alone).

Maybe if he made a contribution to the site more of us would help him out.  He signed up over a year again and still hasn't made a contribution.

Maybe you guys can pick this thread up for me. I'm having the same issue with my Cham II+ stand alone. I programed it OK but it does not seem to be getting signals back and forth to the game. All I get is "progressive link down".  The "JP GRP" set to  "SA0" do I need to change this?

Thanks

I've been pulling my hair out. After days of working on my S2000 Tabasco 3CM progressive CHAM2+, I made some head way.

1. Key Chip setting set
2. Mikohn Settings set
3. After hours finally got the Mikohn programmed via serial port
4. Made wiring harness to hook to machine

I got the display to say 12,000.

But my machine still says no link to progressive.

One time when my machine booted up it incremented my progressive by one cent. And then it gave a C51 when I unplugged the cable going from the progressive board to the machine. I never got it to do it again.

The only thing I haven't done is change the battery, but I don't think that would cause a no link?

I'm all out of ideas, I think I have read every thread in this section.

Any ideas??

-Tom-

No Link to progressive could be many things

Make sure psp setting is  F3=SNGL F4=M08 & F8=MS08 for Igt

ChamII+ board not being set to SA

Could also be wrong setting in key chip menu
7.3.2 select: None

Could also be the cable you made ?

Please post all the settings you made inside psp and the key chip menu

Sorry off to work for the day good luck

You might want to check out Ron's r273 notes
that are attached.

Solved
Problem self induced, one cable connection slipped off the connector on the Chami, all works well except the multi denom part but that's another topic.
