S+ Five Times ***ISSUE***

I obtained this machine last week.  As with everyone who posts on here, it was working perfectly.

The machine is set up for credit play only . . . There is no hopper.  You run a bill through and it registers credits for play. 

Last night, I was showing it off at a little gathering of friends, and the following occurred:

I was downstairs and it sounded as if someone hit a Jackpot.  I thought i heard the Jackpot bell ring for a couple of seconds and then the continuous pay-out sound.  i went upstairs to see what had happened.

The machine showed no win on the reels with all three reels sitting on a blank.  The WINNER PAID LCD has "0000" flashing.  Both candle lights are flashing at a normal speed.  The CREDIT LCD shows a constant "0203".

Here is what I did:

I opened the door and looked around.  Being new, I have read enough to know not to fool around with things.  I then closed the door.  The machine cycled the reels as if it was going to be OK.  It then went into the same mode of payout sound and flashing.

I then opened the door and flipped off the power switch.  When I flipped it back on and latched the door shut, it cycled and entered the same mode.

I unplugged it and plugged it back in . . . Same thing.

I opened the door and pushed the "reset" button behind the power switch . . . Nothing.  I pressed it several times . . . Nothing.  I held it in for several seconds . . . Nothing.

The "ONLY" change I made to the machine was to enable reel music through settings with the reset button.  It was working perfectly until the mystery Jackpot hit.

open the door, turn the jackpot key on the right side of the machine clockwise and release the key, then shut the door back, it may re set then. Does not look to me as if a jackpot was hit because when the reels spin again when you power the machine up, it would land on a jackpot winning combo.

Great video -- it helps a lot.

The solution for your immediate situation is to simply turn the jackpot reset key on the outside right of the machine (with the door closed) once and release it.  That should stop the dinging and candle flashing.

It's quite possible that one of your friends pressed the "cash out" button and, since it is set up for no hopper, it is in its hand-pay mode, hence the reason why it's acting like a jackpot was hit when there's not a winning combination on the payline.

Well guys . . . I definitely appreciate both responses.

I do not have a reset key YET.  I plan on getting a hold of one next week.  I will give it a try and report back.

For the time being you can run 2 jumper wires to the leads on the reset key lock, just look on the inside of your machine on the right side and you will see the lock with 2 wires going to it. Be sure to do this with the power off, if the wires you use are thin/small enough you can find a space to run them through to the outside of the machine and as knagl said, close the main door and just touch the 2 jumper wires together and that should reset the machine. If so, then power off your machine and remove your jumper wires and turn the machine back on and close the door and you should be ready to play again.

It looks like some one pressed the cash out button, the credits match what the machine is showing for hand pay!

Great for you, now order you a couple keys from one of the vendors on the top of the page and you will have one in case this ever happens again, in our game room, any person that hits a cashout button has to have one of their index fingers cut off for their mistake, hey you do crime..............lol.

The other thing along those lines that I prefer to do is to gently pop the cherry switch partially out of the bottom of the button and just swivel it away far enough that it doesn't get hit when someone presses the button.  That way, there aren't any loose wires hanging in the machine, and it's easy enough to just pop the switch back into place at a later date.  Also, if any of the switches are wired in series, it won't break the series.
