s2000 sound simm question - Jason!!!

This one is probably for Yoeddy aka Jason but im putting it out here.

I was up north in Michigan at my friends cottage and we hit a casino in Standish. They had a Triple Double Moolah in the high stakes gaming area that was releasing the enhanced preferred sounds!   

I'm so jealous! This is my all time favorite theme and I've had this game since 2010... listening to the legacy sounds only. I think we all know how quickly this becomes dull. I wonder which simm they have in that sucker to be able to pull the preferred enhanced sounds.  I was so tempted to just ask a tech to open her up so I can pull out the cpu and see for myself!!! Bad idea I'm sure, so I deferred.

Hey Danny.  Must have a 42 in there...assuming anyway.  Well, about the only thing that I can think of, is that they may have a different SB chip in there. Case in point, there is a Triple Double Wild Cherry SB that for some reason only plays the legacy sounds.  There is another version that will allow all of the sounds to be played.  I have both SB's and have verified this behavior.  This was for the 3CM version.  Perhaps TDM has more than one SB that has different results???

Very interesting.  I can check to see what SB chip I have for the TDM. Mine is a 3cm and the one at the casino was a 2cm. You're right,  I have the standard dsv42 simm card in it. I just took a look at the DSV partial list and saw some SB listings for TDM but not sure if those are for a multi line game... I have to find a way to get it. Legacy sounds are torture!

The chip in mine is an SB100787 - 3cm. SG's are 363 which probably don't matter.

You said this was in the high limit area. With that said, I would eliminate the 180C, 90C, 45C and 5C from the possibilities. High Limit areas are USUALLY 1C and 2C machines.
Do you remember how many reel and coin the machine that you saw was?

I did something like that with dpalmi a few months ago, sent him 5 or 6 different simms, end results were NO HELP.

2CM is a high limit machine.
So has he checked SB100785 ?

I have not tried the 2cm - don't have it. You think something that simple could be it? 2cm vs 3cm???

Get this, I originally had the 2cm award glass and waited years to find a 3cm. I like everything 3cm - don't ask why... this would happen too if it's the case in point.
