Have a 7200 with 24 Mains and 14 Graphics. Go to clear it and it does the initial clear, after setting the first page of options, get the message to Remove Clear Chip, Replace Game Chip, and Restart Machine. After those things are done and machine is powered back on, get the message "Main Saferam Signature Corrupted. Perform Saferam Clear."

Things tried:

-Swapped Mains and Graphics chips (tried multiple sets and combos)
-Different Clear Chips (512kb, 1mg, even an EVO clear)

Any ideas what could be the culprit?

Hey,

Have you tried just #8 on dip switch as its for saferam clear. May not work. Worth a try.  How about diff clear chip from diff file, etc.

Haven't tried just #8, only #7 & 8 together. Tried 3 entirely different Clear chips, all with same results, so doubting its the clear chip.

Done for the day on it, but will try just 8 next time. Thanks!

If you are still having the problem, get a DEBUG chip and do the clear with it, it seems to dig a little deeper than the clear chips.  I had a similar issue where the clear chip would not let me change a few settings, did the clear with the debug chip and all is well!

Good Luck!
